The Centre Vorlage Competitive Snowboard Cross Program is designed for dedicated athletes who are ready to develop their skills and compete at a higher level in snowboard cross. The program combines on-snow technical training, race preparation, and competition experience in a supportive, positive, and performance-focused environment.
Athletes will train throughout the season with a focus on starts, speed, turns, jumps, passing techniques, race strategy, and decision-making in head-to-head competition, all while continuing to develop agility, balance, coordination, speed generation and management, pumping and absorption, jumping, air awareness, and terrain awareness.
Competition is an important part of the program. Athletes will have opportunities to travel to provincial-level snowboard cross events in Quebec and Ontario, gaining valuable racing experience while competing against athletes from across both provinces. Travel competitions also help athletes develop independence, confidence, sportsmanship, and the ability to perform in different race environments.
The program is intended for athletes who are committed to regular training, competition, and continued progression in snowboard cross. Coaches will work with each athlete to establish individual goals and provide guidance throughout the season, with the long-term objective of helping athletes reach their full competitive potential.
